The Art of the Counter: Crafting Lisa Eldridge’s New Vision at Selfridges

In the high-octane environment of the Selfridges Beauty Hall, standing out requires more than just a logo; it requires a distinct visual soul. We are delighted to reveal our latest collaboration with Lisa Eldridge Makeup, a project defined by a shared obsession with detail, materiality, and the heritage of artistry.

A Reflection of Persona

Our brief was to distil Lisa’s world-renowned aesthetic into a physical space. The result is a setting that feels both elegant and timeless, mirroring Lisa’s own personality. By balancing luxurious textures with playful, sculptural forms, we’ve created a destination that feels like a curated extension of her private studio.

Key editorial highlights of the space include:

• The Pigment Column: A bespoke wrap filled with pigment jars, serving as a vibrant homage to Lisa’s mastery of colour.

• The Lip Chairs: Custom-designed seating that adds a playful, surrealist touch to the sophisticated surroundings.

Materiality & Craft

The palette was born from a desire for warmth and tactility. Central to the design is the use of Sapele wood, finished in a bespoke stain developed specifically for this project.

To create a sense of depth and invitation, we paired the wood with:

• Coffee-toned solid surfaces that provide a rich, grounded contrast.

• Custom gold powder-coated trims, adding a refined metallic accent that catches the light of the Beauty Hall.

Designing the Journey

Beyond the aesthetics, the space is a masterclass in functional retail design. We worked in close partnership with the Eldridge team to map the customer journey, ensuring the layout feels intuitive rather than transactional. From the integration of recessed hygiene stations to the strategic lighting of the product displays, every element was engineered to let the makeup—and the artistry behind it—take center stage.
