Technical 3D Designer

We’re looking for a Technical Designer to join our East London team. It's essential that the candidate has a strong understanding of joinery and metal fabrication (retail and hospitality design experience desired)

You’ll sit between our creative, project and production teams, taking concepts (internally and externally) and developing them into clear, considered and workable proposals.

What you’ll be doing

• Producing detailed technical and manufacturing drawings
• Creating accurate 3D models (Solidworks or Fusion)
• Preparing drawing packs for manufacture for initial costing and installation
• Developing joinery, metalwork, signage and specialist fabrication details
• Specifying materials, finishes, fixings (working with the project team to develop samples and prototypes)
• Carrying out site surveys
• Working directly with our workshop, suppliers and specialist fabricators
• Reviewing prototypes, samples and production methods
• Supporting projects through production and installation (being on site during installation)

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who understands how things are made.

You’ll ideally have experience within retail design, interiors, joinery, furniture, exhibitions, events or a similar premium design-and-build environment.

You should be confident producing accurate technical drawings and comfortable discussing construction methods directly with manufacturers, suppliers and contractors.

Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion and AutoCAD is essential.

Most importantly, you’ll have a good eye for design, strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
